BushCam Consulting is run by Jeremy Bolton who has many years of
experience in camera-trapping. As someone who was passionate about
wildlife and a keen wildlife photographer, camera-trapping became an obvious
choice for him. He soon realised that there were few sources of expert and
objective camera-trapping advice in South Africa and nobody who provided
loan cameras for clients to evaluate. He makes it his duty to evaluate as many
types of cameras, and their accessories, as possible so that he can provide the
most comprehensive and objective advice.
Jeremy enjoys sharing his extensive knowledge with clients but is probably
happiest when he is out in the field. He has assisted clients with projects
that range from using camera-traps to identify Rhinos from their ear-notches
to locating the critically endangered Riverine Rabbits in the Karoo. He also
believes strongly in the value of education so his workshops and courses
are aimed at both providing detailed knowledge as well as encouraging
participants to have fun with camera-traps.
